Founded in 1940 by people just like you – those who believe no one should suffer alone – the United Methodist Committee on Relief, UMCOR, initially responded to the needs of millions displaced by World War II. As the humanitarian relief and development arm of the United Methodist Church, UMCOR currently assists United Methodists and churches to become involved globally in direct ministry to persons in need.
Your gift to UMCOR makes God’s love tangible, alleviates suffering and serves as a source of help and hope to survivors of all kinds – be it from war or conflict, hurricane, famine, wildfires, earthquake or flood. Donations to UMCOR enable emergency grants and supplies immediately after a disaster; provide for sustainable sources of food, water and shelter; allow UMCOR workers and volunteers to be among the earliest to arrive and the last to leave when people are in need; and help strengthen communities through both disaster preparedness and long-term recovery.

Make checks payable to Warsaw First UMC. You may designate either “U.S. Disaster” or “International Relief” on the memo line; any undesignated mission giving and weekly coin offerings will be divided equally between “U.S.” and “International” projects.
Online giving is also an option at the “Give” tab on the church’s website: www.warsawfumc.org.
Because of the annual special UMCOR Sunday offering, 100% of disaster-response donations are directed to the U.S. and international communities in need.
