A new United Methodist Women’s group is offering opportunities for spiritual growth, mission giving, social action and vital discipleship during these difficult times. Our community of women’s purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church We strive for love of God and neighbors. Fellowship is organizing an opportunity for a group to attend a Tin Caps game on Saturday, August 3rd. The game is at 7:05 p.m. They have an event that evening called Zooperstars, with inflatable mascots, fireworks, and fun for the whole family! Each evening, kids will enjoy DiNNeR, mUsIC, ScIEnCe and ArT, a bustling Athens MarKEtPlACe, OUtdOoR activities, and FuN with friends! We will explore Athens with Paul and Friends. We are excited to explore what God’s love means to us, and how we can share that love by serving others and making a positive impact on our world!
Activities available for kids, baby through 5th grade. 6th grade and older are welcome to attend as volunteers. We hope to see you there! Sign up today! The 2019 Summer Lake Service will begin Sunday, May 26 at 8 a.m. at Beyer Park on Pike Lake. There is limited parking, with no parking along Arthur St. Those who are able to walk a little farther, please park in the BMX parking lot across Arthur St. from the apartments.
